Jon and I generally try to avoid products containing
high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). I do enjoy an occasional pop, especially when I sick, but otherwise generally will stick to flavored soda water (not diet.)
Here is another reason to avoid HFCS, as there are reports of mercury found in the sticky substance. Yikes!

I also like to avoid HFCS, although I'm sure I'm not as disciplined as you - I drink pop more than just when I'm sick :). Have you seen the new TV commercials promoting HFCS? They mention something about the fact it's made from corn so it's good for you. I'm not convinced.:)
Yes, I have seen that commercial online. Its horrid. Does that mean corn dogs are good for me too, since it has the word corn in it?? The commercial seems like they are trying to bully people into believing hfcs is good. I'm not buying it. Its amazing how much stuff contains hfcs, but thankfully there are plenty of products out there that don't. I'm scratching my head on why teddy grahams contains it, but teddy grahams "Cars" shaped snacks does not. Who knows?
That's interesting about the Teddy Grahams. :)
