A Blast of a weekend... part one

We started our Independence Day celebration by going to the State capital & listening to the Symphony Pops & watching fireworks with four friends from my Mommy's group, along with their babies & spouses.  Sydney did really good during the fireworks and got a nap in just before they started.
On the Forth, we celebrated by going to the 80/35 festival.  Sydney was quite the hit with other concert goers, especially when she was wearing her headphones to muffle the noise.  I had to ask a couple of people not to take pictures of my daughter and even asked one to please erase the picture she took.  I know Sydney's cute and its a public place, but I still don't want strangers taking her picture!  Our favorite concert of the evening was Andrew Bird.  He was an absolutely amazing artist.  We also had fun listening to Flaming Lips.  They were much more entertaining that the stupid stint they did, called the Flaming Lips Experiment, which I saw in concert while in college.  They were so bad then, I, along with 5,000+ people tried booing them off stage!!

Sounds like you guys had a blast! I cannot believe someone was taking Sydney's picture. Why do people think that is even ok to take pictures of complete strangers kids. Weird!
