I haven't posted happenings for awhile, but thought I would share that last month Sydney went to her first ballet. I contacted the Ballet Theatre of Des Moines to see if the toddler group we are part of could go to the children's edition of the Nutcracker Ballet. Not only did we get to see the ballet for free, they reserved an area in the back of the theatre by the doors to make an easy escape if needed. Sydney wore her tutu and I had fun hearing comments from the little girls in the theatre commenting on how cute Sydney was. Sydney loved watching all of the action on the stage and I only had to bribe her with a couple of puffs to keep still!

Hey, neat idea about asking for the group to get in free! I'll have to keep that in mind if I'm ever in a similar situation. :)
Hehe....I have lots of suggests for things to do that are free/low cost, that is if you ever find yourself in that situation! ;-)
