Three Fabulous Fun Filled Weekends....

Its been a busy, but fun couple of weekends, and next weekend looks to be just as fun.  The weekend before last, Sydney went to her first play, Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream.  It was an outdoor play and she did great.  She got very excited at times, watching all of the people.  She's handled artsy events pretty well, so far.  Back in February, we took her to an opera, in which her jaw was dropped  for the entire performance.  The same weekend which we saw the play, Sydney also went to her first football game.  Jess, my cousin Sam's husband, plays football for the semi-pro team, Iowa Lightening, in which he scored a touch-down.  Yeah!
Last weekend, the beloved art festival came to town.  I'm not sure whether to say we lived in the festival or at the festival, as both are true.  Our complex was smack dab in the middle of it.  We had tons of fun for the three days it was here.  Not only did we get to see tons of art, but also side-show acts, musicians, get to participate in art projects, and saw a ton of friends and family.
We are gearing up for this coming weekend, when the 80/35 festival comes to our backyard.  The best part is we get free tickets ($50 a piece) because of the "inconvenience"  of the festival.  Hmm, I wonder if the art festival will give us free art next year, due to the "inconvenience?"  One can dream! ;-)
